I had an interview with a recruiter for the company a few days after submitting my application. The call went well, and she told me I'd be moving forward to have an interview with the department director. We had multiple email correspondences about dates/times, and then I was sent a generic email saying I was not selected to move on in the interview process. Very confusing.
