      Entretien

Where to begin? For starters, this was one of, if not the most, unprofessional interviewing experiences I've ever been a part of. Weeks would go in between interviews, there was never a clear understanding of where we stood in the process and overall it was simply entirely disorganized. They kept on excusing this issue because they are a "startup" and that they are facing growing pains. I don't think these guys know what a startup really is. That aspect was really off-putting and quite honestly made me distance myself from the role. Because while I was exploring different options aside from my current job, I do have a secure position at a public company on the east coast, so to think of uprooting my life to move to Chicago just to enter what seemed like a mess of a company wasn't exactly thrilling. However, the process continued to get worse as it went on. My final interview was with a gentleman who felt the need to talk more about himself than ask me about my experience and how I would fit into the role. It was strange to say the least and felt more like he was using the call as a platform to brag about himself, his accomplishments and what he was doing with the company. Also, it doesn't really add up that their Facebook as 40,000+ likes, yet they rarely get more than 50 likes on a post. Fake likes and followers? I hate to insinuate that, but as someone with experience in this industry and particularly with social media, it doesn't make sense. Needless to say, both sides began to feel it wasn't a good fit as the process developed, although they never officially told me so until a month or so after my last interview. I believe there were a total of 4, maybe 5 interviews.
