I started the interview process (for a different position within the same company) in September of 2020 from a referral from a family friend who currently works at Signet. After connecting me with a recruiter, I had an initial screening only to find out that they were not yet hiring for someone with my experience level for another three months. I applied for another position in December of 2020 which I was not selected for as that team was going through a transitional phase and the job listing was removed. At this point I had developed a relationship with the talent acquisition specialist and she was familiar with me and worked hard to help me find the right position at Signet. In February of 2021, I had an interview with the hiring manager for the job I currently am at with Signet Jewelers. Since I had already done a screening with the recruiter, I went straight to an interview with the hiring manager and got the notice that I was selected for the position a few days later. Goes to show that even during a pandemic, you can find a job with the right company and the right team!
