J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez Shopee (Singapour) en août 2022
Entretien
The question asked in the first round of my interview was related to autosuggesting which can be done implementing Trie data structure. I think this was irrelevant and too tough to be implemented correctly and fully in 90 mins of the interview. Moreover the interviewer has his own restrictions related to the way the code should be implemented (like each class should be inside Main class ) which made no sense to me.
I think this question is more fit for high level system design round and not for coding round.
There is a full company 'Elastic search' which does just this (work on autosuggesting) so it is extremely unfair and irrelevant for the interviewer to judge me on the basis of implementing Trie data structure.
The content of the interview was no where related to the resources and prep tips the recruiter had shared with me before the interview.
Moreover, the interviewer had almost no idea about the team and its projects so I am totally unsatisfied with the interview overall and the feedback I received.
I would actually demand a re-interview if possible.
