Don't bother interviewing with them if you don't speak mandarin. It's a Chinese company, run by Chinese, for the Chinese. Just check out their employees on LinkedIn and you'll barely see any other ethnicity represented. Shopee reached out to me 3 times and systematically rejected me shortly afterwards. It's probably their way of building evidence that they approach people from different backgrounds although never ending up hiring them, in case the government was to launch an investigation. I don't understand how such a company is allowed to operate with these practices in Singapore.
J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez Shopee
Entretien
Attended final interview twice for the same role but supporting different business pillar in the span of 3 months time. Ghosted by the same recruiter twice, no feedback or update
The interview was fairly manageable. The key is to clearly understand and communicate what value you can bring to the role. Most of the questions focused on my previous work experiences and the specific tasks I handled. As long as you’re prepared to discuss your background and highlight your contributions, the interview won’t feel too difficult.
J'ai passé un entretien chez Shopee (Kuala Lumpur)
Entretien
There were 2 rounds of interviews (30-minutes screening call and 1-hour hiring manager interview), and the entire process took 2 weeks. I received an offer in the same week, so the entire process was quite smooth and quick.
