J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Sherweb (Sherbrooke, QC) en mai 2025
Entretien
The interview/application process was pretty straightforward and a learning experience for me as this was my first interview/application in a long time.
Initial interview was done by the recruiter, who was really nice.
Most questions asked were more about yourself, your relevant work experience and the technologies you have used.
The second part of the application was an online technical exam. It comprises of a couple of React and C# questions. There is also an english exam at the end.
React questions were pretty straightforward as well, if you know react basics this should be easy for you.
C# question is DSA, brush up on linked list and hashmap data structures.
The third part was the Pair Programming which was really new to me. There is a panel (architect, lead and senior engineer. The lead has the main control of the code. You have to guide him and check for code corrections and improvements. This is a combination of communication and technical skills validation.
If this would be your first time doing a pair programming interview, try to practice at home. During the interview you should relax and try to slow down. Check all the code that was shown, before communicating what you think are the fixes. This was where I failed, I was not able to check the whole code to see how they are connected/related. I was giving rushed fixes finding out later that I was going the wrong direction. After the interview I knew in myself that I did not make it.
The code being worked on really is just simple, you just have to check everything first before providing your inputs. Again, practice, relax and slow down once you get to this part of the application process.
