      J'ai passé un entretien chez Selfridges (Londres, Angleterre)

      The interview process was thorough but engaging and well-structured. It started with an initial screening call from HR, which focused on my background, availability, and reasons for applying. They also asked about my understanding of the Selfridges brand, which I appreciated—it showed they cared about cultural fit. The second stage was an interview with a member of the Visual Merchandising team. This was more in-depth and covered everything from my portfolio to how I interpret trends and execute VM concepts on the shop floor. They were especially interested in how I combine creativity with commercial awareness, and how I’ve worked cross-functionally with teams like Buying and Marketing in past roles. For the next stage, I was given a creative task where I had to produce a mini visual concept for a seasonal display, including mood boards and a rationale. This was both challenging and fun, and gave me a great opportunity to demonstrate my understanding of the Selfridges aesthetic and brand values. I presented it over a follow-up interview. The final stage was more of a cultural fit interview with a senior leader. It focused on Selfridges’ sustainability goals (Project Earth), inclusivity, and how I approach teamwork and customer-centric design. I also got the chance to walk the store and discuss areas where I might enhance visual impact.
