SCRAP Creative Reuse utilizes a three-stage interview process: a phone screening, a virtual interview with a page of questions emailed to candidates multiple days before, and a final virtual or in-person interview where additional questions are asked without receiving them in advance. One or more higher-ups at the Portland, OR headquarters lead the virtual interview, alongside the director of the specific site you're applying, in this case Ann Arbor, but she mostly listened and didn't ask her own questions. The answers you provide are timed and they're not afraid to cut you off and call you out on "time management" regardless of whether you're qualified or over-qualified for the position. In my opinion, they failed to take into consideration nuanced communication and learning styles during this process, but I was impressed that they sent questions days in advance with plenty of time to prepare. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by their inability to deviate off script and provide a more organic conversational flow.
