I applied to Scalable Press in March 2020. I had an initial phone screen with HR in which I had then one phone screen with an Engineer. I got asked QA + 1 technical problem. I honestly don't remember much this problem but I managed to solve this using HashMap. This interview was mostly focused on the way you think. The next day I got notified that I will be moving forward with another technical interview with another engineer. This interview was more technical and focused on solving a problem. This problem was required to compile and run. I got asked a recursion problem in which I was able to give a structured answer but It failed to run and my time ran out. After the interview was over I managed to finish the problem in 15 min. I had a minor bug and it was related to how Java handles memory. I provided screenshots and the updated code with the same use cases to HR. Hopefully to me, my updated solution was considered and my interviewer enjoyed solving the problem with me. That same day i got notified that I will be moving forward to an onsite but as of now, I'm not able to book a date cause I'm a temporary resident and due to COVID-19 they are, for now, only hiring MX born. I will be notified as soon as that changes and I will go directly to on-site.
