      Entretien

There were many red flags during the interview. My interviewer calls 4 minutes late, and does not even bother acknowledging or apologizing for it. As I answer his questions, he barely even pauses after my answers to launch into the next question. He would sometimes even interrupt me towards the end of my answer to ask his next question. It made our interaction feel more like an interrogation than an actual interview. He asks me what I made at my last job, and when I tell him, he tells me that the best that the company could offer was a 5% lower salary than my last job. He follows up by saying, “You have technical experience but not a lot of a healthcare experience…” and “We will have you on a probation period of 90 days, and if your performance is good you could be eligible for raises”. He was giving a vibe of, “We are paying you less than your previous job, and you should be happy about that! In fact, you should not have been paid that much in the first place”. At this point in the conversation, I also remembered that California Law prohibits employers form asking candidates their salary history. I let the interviewer know this, and that I was no longer interested as a result. This company has many recent Glassdoor reviews talking about its toxic culture. If management and leadership are just as rude and unprofessional as my interviewer, then I believe these reviews truly have merit. Apply elsewhere.

Had a series of talks first with the manager, and then with the whole technical support team. It was a very mixed bag because some team members seemed to not care about the interview process and looked pressed for time, and others were very professional and courteous. The manager at one point told me exactly how mediocre this job was and the pay offered certainly seemed to not match the effort its employees gave. Each team member I talked with seemed to be overworked.
