      J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez STRATIS (PA)

      Entretien

      Initial phone screen with basic get-to-know-you questions. Then I was emailed a coding challenge that had to be completed before the in-person interview which was scheduled pretty immediately because they really want to bring in new people. I think the company is really cool and I love what they created, but it was alarmingly unstructured. Two of the people who interviewed me and reviewed my coding challenge seemed completely unprepared. One of them asked me about my code, implying that I was wrong on some things, but he actually ended up being wrong and it was embarrassing for both of us that I had to correct him - twice. It felt like they were just asking me questions to ask. Like why I chose to use ES6, the most up to date version of JS currently... They just didn't seem that knowledgeable or equipped to interview me. They then tell me they only started working here/in this field 4 months prior and would be the ones to train me. This also made me uncomfortable. Also, barely any coding for this position. They made it seem like it'd be all coding, but really, not much, so I was disappointed. I was offered the position and told I had to be somewhere in the lower 50k range and that's just plain taking advantage. All less-experienced software engineers should be starting at, at least 60K. And that's still low-balling it. All in all, though, everyone was really super nice, and they all seemed genuinely happy to be there together so it wouldn't be a bad place to work. It seemed very flexible so if you're looking to interview here and don't care about how much you will be coding on a regular basis, give it a shot.
