      Entretien

After receiving a call to make an appointment at the recruiting center, the recruiter called me to validate my preferences such as CV, college transcript and others and asked me to bring hard copies of them 'cause i sent them online. On the day of interview i got lost and couldn't make it on time and that's not encouraging and it increased my stress. And as you think and so did i, the first question was why you are late??? yeah that was expected from well-organized company, but i could convince them by my excuses, actually i hate to make excuses and that what i told them first, but since their address is confusing and they don't even have a sign of the company on their building they believed me ''sort of'', i guess that was the first test to me !! On that interview, there were two guys, the recruiter who I met him before at the university and his assistance, both are from my country. After they had a look at my documents, they started the real questions, What did you come to Schlumberger ?? yeah it's a typical question isn't. The following question was concerning why i didn't apply to other places since i have a relatively high grade from one of the best universities in the region. the following questions were about the personality and from their questions i think they want adventurous, outgoing, strait shooter, challenging and confident people. He asked me about what's the best thing i feel proud of, also they asked for any extracurricular activities that i made. Then, He asked if i got an offer of cleaning tools for the first period of training??? would i accept or not?? and guess what i answered ?? I replied positively and I told the OK showing them the whole picture and that's what they want, they need patient and loyal to the company. The end of the interview was not really good, they told that i give them wrong answers and I have strength but not accuracy. But they requested me to bring a list of PROs and CONs of joining Slb and other companies I applied for. Although they give me bad impression on the first meeting, but planning another one is different story. On the second meeting which was a week after, I brought the task that they wanted and surprisingly they got impressed by my faithfulness, especially when I mentioned the truth regarding unstable job and also the advancements in job and diversity. However, this time I came much focused and made it on time, actually arrived before them. They asked similar questions and emphasized on my goals and interests, but this time i tried to show them that i want to carry on my career in Slb. At the end of the meeting they told me that i've been accepted to do the intern at Slb and told me to choose which department that I would like to join, and since i requested to join the research center, they asked for another round of interview 'cause they don't accept many there as intern. It sounds another challenge to me since one guy in the research center contacted me and requested to make a presentation of any technical topic. On that day when I entered the workplace of Schlumberger filled by those PhDs and M.S people it was so stressful at first, but when I met that French guy who introduced me to the center and he could lower my pressure a little bit and we had a talk for half an hour. It was full of technical details on what they are doing in the center. He asked about why i wanted to join Slb and what particularly I'm interesting in. We also discussed the courses and projects that I did and what I'm planning to take. After that, the full group arrived which consists of 5 members and I started the presentation. It took me about 20 minutes followed by excessive technical questions which I'm really prepared for, and that's the beauty when you decide the direction of discussions not like the other companies. After giving them a good impression, the leader of the group started the real deal with me like I've been already accepted before. He explained what type of duties that they are on and what's expected to me briefly. Then, I took with him a tour in the center and their labs. IMO, I felt more comfortable in the second round of interview.
