      Entretien pour Field Engineer

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un établissement d'enseignement supérieur ou universitaire. J'ai passé un entretien chez SLB en oct. 2017

      Entretien

First, I received an email from the recruiter to set a time for a phone interview. The phone interview took about 25 minutes and was all about behavioral questions. Then, I received an email with information about a second interview where I had to travel to another state. It was three days interview and they took care of the flight, hotels, and transportation (we had a bus picking up all the students coming for the interview from the airport to the hotel). The second interview is where you really need to show who you are and your personality. They also assigned presentation subjects in groups for everyone about two days before the interview. We had to get in touch and work it all together (we used google drive and group me as a way to communicate). we started at 6 pm till late night (around 2am). All the students did their presentations and the recruiters talked about the company and the different segments they are offering. We also had to do games and they were so friendly and nice. we also met with engineers and recent hires that talked about their experience and were their to answer our questions. It is very important to stay awake and follow up with them. The second day started at 6AM, we had breakfast at the hotel and we were provided coveralls, hats, helmets and ready for the field trip. We went to an actual oil rig and really had great time to see everything in real life. the recruiters explained everything on the field tour and were friendly and answered all of our questions. Then, we went back to the hotel, we had about an hour and half to get ready for our exit interview. My exit interview was with a engineer being with the company for about 15 years. It took about 30 minutes and I was asked about many things like experience, research, internships, previous jobs of any kind, GPA, and also questions about the field trip we visited same day. The other students had different type of questions, just be ready and be yourself. Once finished with the Exit interview, we were taken for diner and where the interview process end. After that we were free and ready to go back home next day.

It was an on campus hiring. First they shortlisted based on CV. Then second round was group discussion where we were given abstract topics like "Half filled glass of water" and were asked to discuss. This was also an eliminatory round. The final round was more of a HR round, they asked behavioural questions, few puzzles (very easy) and general knowledge questions
