      Entretien pour Business Development Coordinator

      18 mars 2016
      Candidat à l'entretien anonyme
      Boston, MA
      Aucune offre
      Expérience négative
      Entretien moyen

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Ropes & Gray (Boston, MA) en mars 2016

      Entretien

I applied in February 2016, and had a phone interview with human resources a few days later (on a Friday). During this interview they asked the basic questions, "why this role, why Ropes & Gray, why are you leaving your current role?" On Monday I received an email to come in for an in person interview on Wednesday. Then when I received the email with my itinerary for my day, the subject line said "Interview on July 25th", and the names of the people I was interviewing with were spelled incorrectly (I had tried to research them on LinkedIn and couldn't find them). When I went into the office and told the receptionist who I was there too meet with, they asked if I was someone else by a different name. They interview went very well and I felt like I had knocked it out of the park. When I got home I sent a thank you email to the two people I interviewed with. The next morning the hiring manager sent me an email by accident, that was supposed to go to another candidate, and tried to recall it after I had read it. I still held out hope because I really wanted the position, and felt like I was a good fit. I followed up with the HR contact a week later (they had said in the interview that it was going to be an expedited process because they really needed to get someone in) and was told they had filled the position. Ropes & Gray seemed like a really great company to work for, but after all the mistakes that they made in the interview process, I am second guessing that.

      2 août 2017
      Candidat à l'entretien anonyme
      New York, NY
      Aucune offre
      Expérience positive

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. J'ai passé un entretien chez Ropes & Gray (New York, NY) en mai 2017

      Entretien

I interviewed with two of the senior Business Development Executives. The interview was thorough and took approximately an hour. Both were very friendly but it was certainly a formal interview process and so you should be prepared with answers to all the standard interview questions, as well as specific answers about why you want to join this particular firm.

      Question 1

My background is in law, rather than strictly Business Development, so I was asked several times about why I wanted to move out of law and into a pure BD role.
