Entretien
I interviewed with Rippling for the Technical Account Manager, Mid Market role. The interview was virtual and consisted of three rounds.
First round with the recruiter was straight forward, tell me about yourself, why rippling and went over compensation and general role information. Recruiter was well versed and gave me all the necessary info up front which was a relief. Incredibly organized and was told I made it to the next round with the hiring manager.
Hiring manager was great, but could tell she was somewhat distracted with other work. I was asked 3 questions:
1. Tell me about how you managed your BoB
2. A situational question that was based on how you prioritize requests from clients
3. You have an escalation call with a client, what would you do to prepare.
Hiring manager had a hard stop at 30 minutes but gave me their email to follow up with any additional questions.
Did not hear back for a couple of days, followed up with the recruiter and instantly received an invite to the panel interview.
Panel interview was with 2 managers from the TAM team. The ask was to give a 20 minute presentation role play as a client that just finished onboarding. The managers were cool during the intro and once switched over to the presentation they became very stoic and negative.
Be prepared to invest a lot of time into this presentation as the guidelines are very general and the asks from the “clients” were very specific even tho the instructions mention you are expected to not have any prior Rippling product knowledge.
Be prepared for the mock as the client had a bad onboarding experience and are not well versed on how to use the tools provided. they will throw some curveballs at you; ex: client was complaining about having to offboard an EE and had to sift through 80 options for compliance paperwork??
Also, payroll deductions are not set up properly as this was neglected during onboarding.
Key in this interview is discovery but you should definitely know your way around product offerings to an extent.
Followed up with the recruiter next day and received rejection email. Would’ve been great if the recruiter gave the news over the phone but I feel it is their way of getting around providing feedback. I will say the interview process was very organized,

I had an initial screen with a recruiter. I did not make it past that round, but I was not left waiting and the communication was good. I would apply again.

Very smooth and fast. The recruiter outlined the interview process very clearly and everything was set up promptly. I felt very prepared for each stage. Everyone was very easy to talk to and very welcoming.
Department screen, panel, final interview. Overall manageable process, interviewers are friendly. Be prepared to share a self-reflection on the panel, you’ll also get feedback on your interview live which is helpful for your own learning.
