Screening Interview:
Some companies start with a screening interview to determine which candidates have the desired qualifications for the job.
Occasionally, companies replace this step with an open interview (also known as a group interview) conducted at an open hiring event, where multiple candidates are interviewed simultaneously.
Phone Interview:
Often used as an initial way to narrow down applicants and identify candidates for in-person interviews.
For remote positions, video or phone interviews may be the primary means of recruitment.
Skill Assessment:
Certain positions may require candidates to take and pass tests evaluating technical abilities.
For example, a writing position might involve a grammar test or a writing sample.
First Interview (In-Person):
Typically a one-on-one interview with the hiring manager.
Questions focus on qualifications, skills, work history, and relevant experience.
Second Interview:
More in-depth than the initial interview.
May involve additional meetings with various staff members, such as executives, supervisors, or team members.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Could you tell me something about yourself and describe your background in brief?
Interviewers like to hear stories about candidates. Make sure your story has a great beginning, a riveting middle, and an end that makes the interviewer root for you to win the job.
How do you deal with pressure or stressful situations?
Share an instance when you remained calm despite the turmoil. If it’s a skill you’re developing, acknowledge it and include the steps you’re taking to respond better to pressure in the future.
What are your salary expectations?
Before you walk into your first interview, you should already know what the salary is for the position you’re applying to. Research salary information using websites like Glassdoor, Fishbowl, or Vault.com, or reach out to your professional network on LinkedIn.
