The best interview experience that I ever had during the internship searching.
First of all, the recruiter, Jenna, is very professional, friendly and helpful.
Along the process, she always makes me feel very welcome.
Secondly, the pair-programming interview is also an awesome experience.
Don't worry if you no background in Angular.js, the pair-programming partner, Matt, will explain and guide you through the concept of Angular.js very clearly at the first 20 minutes. He is truly a good teacher.
Besides, I was so nervous when approaching the problem, but he kept encouraging me, and make me feel confident that I can solve the problem and no need to worry about making mistake during the interview.
To sum up, the interview experience is truly amazing.
People in RigUp can see the best of candidates.
I can feel working in RigUp must be a wonderful experience.
It's a hard choice for me to do internship at another company to meet my short-term career goal, due to the wonderful interview experience at RigUp.
I recommend RigUp to anyone who want to work in a promising and well-established startup company.

They will ask you to either create an app or 3 sessions of technical interviews. they will tell you they prefer to send you home to make an app, but I would not advise selecting this route.

Rude process. I usually do not write bad reviews but I had to write about this red flag.
If you are a woman or a minority, they will try to interview you for a position way lower than you deserve to be in. Then they will be mad and reject you after you politely ask what is the reason they want to interview you for a position that requires 2 years of experience when you have 7 years of experience.
This is a red flag. I would recommend women and minority software engineers stay away from this company.
They reached out to me through email and encouraged me to apply to their company. The first email was nice and full of flattery so I decided “why not?”.
Do yourself a favor... just don’t. Whether you have a bad interview process or a bad employment process... this company is not one of the great Austin startups that people love to work for. They’re so self involved and quickly came off as rude. I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve already heard from *someone* that people do not have good experiences working for this company — believe that someone.
