      Entretien pour Account Manager III

      Offre refusée
      Expérience négative

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 7 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Ricoh (Bellevue, WA) en déc. 2013

      Entretien

The initial interview was conducted by phone with an HR person and lasted about 15 min covering details regarding my resume. I was then asked to complete an on-line assessment and application. A second interview was scheduled at the district office for Seattle in Bellevue WA. It lasted an hour and covered aspects of sales, salary, car allowance and benefits. Be warned what was discussed here with the manager was NOT the offer I was given in writing so you would be wise to write down every detail as I did. At the end of the interview I was casually invited to interview with a second manager who coincidentally (ha) was also forming a new team. This I later found out from other account managers is a standard OP for Ricoh followed by a team assessment after you depart. A vague date was then set for a "ride-along" with an account manager on the team of the hiring manager. This allows an "out" if you do not measure up. The next week when I contacted the hiring manager by phone we arranged a ride along date and time. The ride-along's are usually a half day affair where you can observe a manager in operation and be observed. This is probably the most honest moment at Ricoh where you can truly decide if you are up for the task. Following the ride-along I was asked to submit to a background check of my work record, references, driving record, credit and drug test by an outside agency (who were completely incompetent) and a very professional clinic. I was then given an offer which I rejected. The verbal parameters were that I would be expected to be in the office by 8AM go into the field and sometimes return to the office before ending the day on "meeting days". The compensation was described as a "get by" base of 34,500 with 200 per month for expenses. Critically though, I was told that if I hit all my targets I should be in the mid 50's and should I excel I would hit the 70's as the hiring manager had in his day. He said that a normally performing seasoned key accounts manager should be in the low 100's after three years of 70 percentile performance. The actual offer was 29,500 with 200 per month for expenses. The benefits available were as described, but the compensation targets were much higher than had been described and most disturbing was the expectation that each day I would arrive at 7AM hit the field and return to enter data until 6 or 7PM. Since so many parameters were NOT as originally described to me I assumed that these people are not to be trusted and with only 567/week or 9.45/hr guaranteed to me with the all day use of my car I would be better off delivering pizza for a living.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

These guys are corporate all the way. There are no unexpected questions. They are thorough and detailed so don't lie or try to hide drug use or a poor diving record.
