J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Revolut en avr. 2023
Entretien
I was contacted by the HR team at Revolut through LinkedIn, and I was excited to proceed with the interview process. Here's a breakdown of my experience:
1. Initial Screening Call: I had a phone call with the HR representative where they asked me some straightforward questions about my background and my motivation for joining Revolut.
2. Live Coding: The next stage involved a coding challenge focused on Binary Trees and dynamic programming. The questions were sourced from LeetCode, providing a practical test of my coding abilities.
3. Basic Machine Learning Interview: This phase assessed my understanding of calculus, probability, and various machine learning algorithms.
I felt confident throughout the entire interview process, easily answering questions and completing tasks with ease. The HR team even assured me that I would have the opportunity to choose the team I wanted to join, which further fueled my excitement.
However, I received disappointing news later on. Revolut informed me that the position I had applied for was unexpectedly closed. This news was disheartening since I had a genuine desire to be part of the company. It left me with a sense of disappointment, and I couldn't help but feel that the decision not to consider my candidacy, despite successfully completing all the interviews, was somewhat unfair.

Question 1
Q: Explain your background Q: Basic DFS in a binary tree Q: Dynamic programming challenge to find combination of sums Q: Describe PCA mathematically Q: Proabability problem that could be solved with bayes theorem Q: Bagging vs Boosting Q: What is EDA
too long process. many steps. strange livecoding where after an optimal solution they ask you about another optimal solution. A little annoying ML interview where you have to solve basic theory of probability tasks for senior position
Rapid-fire format — interviewer moved through topics quickly, frequently interrupting to redirect when answers got too long or off-track. Several questions were skipped due to time pressure or when the candidate struggled to formulate a clear answer
What I appreciated most was the transparency. The recruiters kept me updated at every stage, and the interviewers were clearly experts in their fields. They didn't just look for the "right" answer but were interested in my thought process and how I handle edge cases in data. The technical discussions were intellectually stimulating rather than intimidating.
