      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Revolut (Barcelone) en déc. 2025

      Entretien

I applied for a role at the end of September and got a screen call request from a recruiter for end of Nov. That first call had to be rescheduled, and when we connected call was a very basic intro call (as recruiter calls usually are), and I was moved on to the next round, the 'skill test'. The skill test next round was nearly a month later, during the 3rd week in December. (Due to the holidays, this presumably delayed the process). In between the recruiter and the next round, I received a feedback request which was a bit unusual in my experience. Naturally I gave them a high score as it was pretty perfunctory up to that point. During the skill test interview, loosely titled "skill based” interview in the invite with no additional context, the PM that was interviewing me arrived 10 minutes late (to a 30 minute call) and had his camera off the entire time due to 'technical difficulties'. Ok, fine. That's how things go, right? We’ve all been there. He also didn't know what role I was interviewing for, and said that Revolut tended to hire people in groups/classes so they'd probably just put me wherever would be the best fit. He was...unprepared let's say. The 'skill' questions were things like "if we launch a product and don't hit our number or see a diminishing return in month 2 over month 1, what would you do"? The questions were so broad, they must have been designed (I assume) to get insight into how you problem solve. Unsure though, as they were so open ended, they were basically useless. He mentioned how quick they were to get rid of low performers, and he himself had been there less than a year (a short tenure is normal of course as Revolt is growing so quickly). I thought it went well enough, despite it being s a bit disorganized and I ended up giving him 15 extra minutes to make up for his late start. After that interview, I got another process feedback request *before* getting feedback on my actual interview. It was interesting to get another one while still in process, and again, before receiving feedback from the interview. I was more direct and transparent in my feedback this time (feedback is merely an opportunity to improve - nothing more and nothing less), and gave 3 and 4 stars (3 stars is meets expectations, not negative). Clearly I would not give 5 stars for a haphazard, lackadaisical interview. I also suggested the time between rounds - as Revolut has 5 or 6 rounds - was quite long. At their current cadence it would be more than a full quarter before they completed the interview cycle and they risked losing talent at that rate. (Radical candor!) Within a few hours of submitting the feedback, I received a standard "we enjoyed meeting you, but won't be moving forward" (with quadruple spacing between sentences, but never mind). All that said, the impression was that Revolut is a bit of a factory, and burns through talent and I was not overly enthused after the skills interview. If you are serious about landing a role with Revolut, play the game and leave your 5 star feedback throughout the process.

      Question 1

If we launch a new product and we don't hit our month 1 goal and it declines in month 2, what would you do?
