The interview panel was prepared, but the style of questioning came across as unnecessarily formal and somewhat off-putting. Several questions did not seem directly relevant to the role, which made the process feel less meaningful than expected. Overall, it was not the most constructive experience.

Question 1
One of the questions I was asked was how my ‘so called contacts’ could help the organisation, the interviewers even used air quotes when saying this. The phrasing and gesture felt dismissive and unprofessional, and it left me questioning the seriousness of the process. While the panel was otherwise prepared, the overall experience came across as pretentious rather than constructive

There are an about two rounds of interviews. These are arranged fairly quickly once you are shortlisted. Final interview would usually include the head of department (Director). Interview process was open, a two way conversation and constructive. The usual questions were asked and nothing out of the ordinary. They are trying to get a sense of whether you are a good fit to what they are looking for.
