      Entretien pour Security Analyst

      4 mars 2022
      Candidat à l'entretien anonyme
      Offre refusée
      Expérience neutre
      Entretien difficile

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez ReliaQuest

      Entretien

1)First interview was a simple phone screen. (OSI Model, port numbers, etc) 2) A couple days later, I received notice that I was moving on to the behavioral portion of the interview process. This section is pretty basic, make sure you have specific situations you can pull from to fit lots of different scenarios/questions. Use the STAR method. 3) Once passed I was pushed to the technical interview. MAKE SURE YOU STUDY. Questions are about port numbers, functions of those ports, DMZ topology, Nmap, WAFs, XSS, SQLi, CSRF, SSRF, basic blue team and red team stuff. This section was pretty difficult and lasts for about an hour. The interviewers were friendly which helped to take some pressure away. 4) Once you pass this, you need to take a cognitive test and behavioral test. I can't say I agree with the efficacy of these tests, but they are assigned nonetheless. 5)Final interview consists of a blend between the technical and behavioral portion. This interview lasts for approximately an hour and is relatively standard. I declined the offer because I had received a comparable offer elsewhere and heard some not-so-great things about Reliaquest's company culture, management, and analyst burnout. The lack of remote work also factored into my decision

Expect questions like "how do you handle failure?" and "tell us about a time you had a difficult situation and how you handled it." Also from real interviews: "Tell me about yourself", "Why do you want to work here?"

I initially did a phone interview before moving on to one or two more Zoom calls for more questions. After I completed a 25-question exam and passed. If I recall correctly, I had another zoom call and then received a phone call saying I was no longer in consideration.

From the exam, there were a couple of questions regarding ports.

The interview process at ReliaQuest was both challenging and rewarding. I was first contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn about the opportunity, and knowing ReliaQuest’s reputation, I immediately jumped on it. My recruiter was incredibly supportive throughout the process, providing guidance and clear expectations every step of the way. The journey began with a screening call that included a mix of technical questions and a discussion about my background and the role. From there, I completed a technical assessment, which was tough but manageable with the right preparation. After passing, I moved on to the technical interview, an hour-long session with two Senior Employees who asked rapid-fire technical and scenario-based questions. This interview truly tests both your technical knowledge and problem-solving approach, so preparation is key. Following the technical stage, I completed behavioral and cognitive assessments, along with a writing sample. Finally, I had the in-person leadership interview, which was both challenging and insightful. One thing that stood out throughout the entire process was ReliaQuest’s passion for excellence—everyone I met, from recruiters to leadership, shared a deep commitment to their work and their team. It was an incredible experience, and I’m thrilled to be joining such a talented and driven team at ReliaQuest!
