      Entretien

The interview consisted of a phone call and then a quick and friendly meeting that didn't involved any technical questions. After that, they said their process requires you to do a full day trial (which already sounded weird, it's usually a few hours or paid otherwise). The trial consisted of a quick "training" through a series of videos that explain how they edit and the style of their videos. Then, it's your turn to make a complete video out of a new project. When it was done, at 5PM, nobody was able and available to talk to me, after I spent all day there and they said they would let me know. No one got back to me and when I asked they said they found someone else. Weird fact is that I found the same ad on every hiring platform published over and over again every month which means they are keeping doing the same thing to every candidate, I assume. I have the impression that this is a clever way to get some job done for free. I would be careful if you're going there for a "trial" and don't expect to be hired.

We offer candidates a paid trial so that they can demonstrate their knowledge. Interviews are hard and we get that, so we feel it is fair to offer a time where they can work at their own pace to deliver a product. These videos are usually old ones that have already been delivered to the client as we would never expect someone editing in our style for the first time to deliver the same product we usually deliver to our customers. We offer the same trial to every candidate and the ones who perform at the required level are offered a position in the team. We continually run ads on all platforms to ensure we receive as many applicants as possible.
