First I applied to for the Cost Basis Associate. About a week later I received an email to schedule a phone interview with a recruiter. I had my phone interview with the recruiter which took no longer than 30 minutes. The recruiter explained to me the basis of the job and asked me a few questions. A couple days later I received a call back from the recruiter to invite me to an onsite interview. I had my interview with two of the supervisors in the department. The interview went well. I never received any feedback which when I go look on my jobpage for Raymond James it is still pending. About two weeks later I received an email for an onsite interview request for a Transfer Associate position. I scheduled the interview for a week out and I went to the interview. The interview went well and I never received any feedback and again on my job page on the company website my status is still pending. About two weeks later I received a call from another recruiter for an over the phone interview for the Tax Associate position. After my over the phone interview I had my face to face interview with two of the hiring managers one was in person and the other manager was on a video. I felt like the interview went well, everyone was so pleasant. My interview was that Wednesday. The next Monday I received a call from the recruiter to follow up with me in regards to the Tax Associate Position, the recruiter called me really early in the morning. I was excited I was thinking he was calling me to offer me the position. Unfortunately he called me so early in the morning to tell me that they chose someone else with tax experience for the position and he asked me did I have any questions. I replied yes and I informed him that the position did not require experience so why did I not get the position. He explained that the interview went well for me but they decided to go with the other candidate because she had experience in the tax field. I was very upset. First I took several days off of my current job to go to interview with the company three times and none of them offered me any of the position, where my status is still pending for Cost Basis and Transfer Associate. I really felt like the company has wasted my time and the interview process needs improvement. It's very discouraging for individuals not to be granted with positions that we desire because we do not have experience but how can we gain new skills if no one will ever give us a chance. I personally think that I would have been a great addition to the team. Good luck to future candidates for the Raymond James Company.
