      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris plus d'une semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez RWE (Austin, TX) en sept. 2022

      Entretien

I had a great interview experience. I had already been interviewing with another company and was far along in the process when RWE reached out. I shared my interest in the RWE position, but was open with the fact that I was expecting another offer and that I likely would not have a long availability for interviewing. This ended up working well as the recruiter I worked with was able to get me an interview next day (Friday). My first interview was through zoom with two senior managers. Both were lovely and I was able to both answer many questions about my experience, as well as to ask questions of my own. We spoke for roughly 75 minutes and it was not overly technical, but still focused on the position. The second interview took place the following Tuesday via zoom with the director. We delved deeper into my experience and he asked me more pointed questions about my development experience. I was open with him on the areas which I had gaps, and I think he appreciated that. The interview went well at the end, I let him know that the first job had reached out with a verbal offer but that I had not received the written offer yet. He told me to let the recruiter know and that he would try to hold an in-person meeting within a few days and asked that I let them know if/when the written offer came through. I had my last interview in-person with the same director and one of the two senior managers over drinks at happy hour on Friday, the same week. This interview involved much discussion around what the job would look like and I asked about the freedom to make mistakes, take time to learn from SME's, and what type of mistakes the two had made in their career and what that looked like. We discussed the role and how it was changing due to the new IRA which increased the ITC and discussed potential business advantages. At the end, the director asked salary expectations and said they would respond Monday. I received a written offer by the following Tuesday. Full process took less than two weeks. (This is likely unusual as one of the sr managers told me it took her 4 months to go through the hiring process)

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Questions mostly revolved around my experience in the past. They asked me to discuss solar dev experience. They also asked me about what I had been learning in the industry lately.
