One of weirdest interview experiences I've ever had.
Their whole office is 3x6 sqm open space room. Manager + 3. Looks sad.
Interview takes place in a shared meeting room.
Interviewer mentioned that he took care to book it on the floor with a coffee machine and was disappointed to discover it was out of coffee.
Intro (tell me about yourself) and quick brief about the company. Guy didn’t look into my eyes neither smiled not even once during the conversation!
Online hacker-rank with 3 very easy questions to be coded and submitted in browser. On the level of check if string is a palindrome, seriously.
Took me around 25 mins out of allowed 60. With ReSharper should take half this time.
The interviewer literally sits behind your shoulder and constantly mumbles as you go (hmm.. You could do it! I didn’t know there is such a function? I would also do it this way) etc. Really annoying.
Followed up by few syntax/technicality questions (it turned out he had a wrong answer in his mind).
He concluded saying they are looking for a higher calibre and hurried toward the staircase leaving me near the elevators. Discovered the staircases are to be used in case of fire only, came back to the elevator, seen I’m still waiting and turned back.
Hilarious waste of time.
