Someone from HR reached out. She asked me to describe my work experience in detail and asked many follow up questions taking 45 minutes. At the end of the interview, she asked me my salary expectations and I told her a range within the posted salary range and she said that is way too high and there is no way I will get that and there is no room to negotiate. I asked why the job posting range was 2x higher than the actual salary and she said it’s silly but they have to do that for legal reasons. Infuriating waste of time.
