J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez QVC (West Chester, PA) en août 2024
Entretien
A recruiter did intake, as usual they can't tell you anything substantial about the role but then you move on to chat with the HM. The HM was polite, asked some standard questions about process and past experience, nothing challenging.
Autres retours d’entretien d’embauche pour un poste comme Designer chez QVC
- Application through linkedin
- Phone call by HR for initial first screening, confirm infos, explain the interviewing process and confirm if a try out day on-location is ok. Said everything is covered.
- First and only online meeting first 2 stakeholders
- Invitation for an unpaid try out on location (Düsseldorf) for cultural fit.
- Offer extended or not
The company does not actually cover travel arrangements.
Germany is a big country. If QVC is inviting a candidate to be on-site at 9am for 3 hours of unpaid labour and this is a mandatory part of their recruitment process, surely they should know that it takes 6 to 8 hours by train to cross the country?
Unpaid try-out day. Unpaid travel arrangements.
QVC wants talent and fresh blood. Their user base is 59+.
Salary base is exceptionally low. 42k € a year, brutto.
An absolute waste of my time. Never again.
The process took 5 weeks and many follow-ups on my end.
Completely unprofessional on the stakeholders side.
PS: the recruiter working for the company was lovely and very sorry!
