You apply by writing 3-4 paragraphs about your previous work experience, which is great. You are called for a "coffee chat". Just before the chat you get an email:
"Your qualifications have been carefully reviewed for the position. While we were impressed with your background and experience, we have concluded that another candidate’s qualifications more closely match our requirements"
You send an email and they ghost you.
After a week, they re-advertised.
At the start, you matched each one of their job requirements :)

One guy was asking full on technical questions because he's a principal engineer. The other guy who's another engineering manager was becoming drowsy. They implied that it's engineering managers job to push the to work 24x7 when required to meet the deadline.
