On-campus interview: 2 days; individual meetings; presentation to a group; group meetings; tour of facilities; meetings with students; meetings with faculty and staff; final meeting was asked when I would be available to begin the position, interest in me for the position was indicated but was told other interviews had been scheduled but I would be contacted when a decision had been reached
4. Offered the position by phone (about 2.5-3 weeks after initial interview)
5. Accepted offer (about 7-10 days after initial offer)
6. Began working at Purdue (about 3 weeks after accepting job)

Standard questions about experience, future career, interests in collaboration
Discussions about the curriculum and laboratory classes for which I would be in charge. Was shown the facilities and allowed to sit in on a laboratory. Met a variety of individuals. Engineering education research collaborations were indicated (if I were interested--outside job detail but were there)
