This interview process was refreshing compared to the sea of terrible processes other companies have for software engineers. You have a laid back chat with the boss and a senior engineer who both check if you'd fit culturally into the company. This conversation goes over your CV, asking you questions to see if you have the experience necessary to do the job.
You then have a technical test with three questions. The technical test asks three reasonable questions. Instead of grinding Leetcode questions for days on end, if you're applying for this company practice working with concepts you'll use day to day in API development and backend development. This is a much better approach for interviewing in my opinion because there's an applicability to the real job. My only gripe would be the time limit. You have 20 mins to answer a systems design question along with two other questions. The systems design question alone, can take an engineer that amount of time depending on the amount of detail they want to go into.
I did not get an offer due to the competitive nature of the job market but more companies should take inspiration from this strategy. Overall, the company seems filled with people who actually know what a good developer looks like.
