Entretien pour Front Service Clerk (Bagger)

      Offre acceptée

J'ai postulé en personne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Publix (Seminole, FL) en oct. 2014

      Entretien

I applied at the application center in-store. They had a sign up stating they were hiring for some new stores that were about to open in the area. I applied for 3 different positions (cashier, bagger, and stocking). I got called about 3 days later and scheduled an interview for the next day. The interview was about 10 minutes long. General questions like "why do you want to work here?", "tell me about yourself", "name a time when you showed that you were trustworthy and honest in the workplace", and a few others about customer service and wasting time. It was pretty simple. As long as you dress conservatively, emphasize how important customer service is, and seem trustworthy you'll do fine! They are 100% about the customer so just be sure to keep that in mind. They told me they would call me by wednesday (I had an interview on Monday), but they didn't call until Thursday. They had me come in for a saliva drug test and it was tested right in front of me. Once I passed, they just told me to come in on a certain day to get information about orientation. I got hired to be a front service clerk. Be aware that if you're working in an older store, this means you'll not only be bagging and doing customer carry out, but you'll also be basically a janitor after the store closes. They use the front service clerks for all the heavy cleaning once customers are gone-trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, these weird soap & water machines, using harmful chemicals...sometimes you don't get out up until an hour or so after your shift is scheduled to end. You can only do certain things if you're over 18, so if you're a minor you probably won't have to worry about too much heavy cleaning, plus they enforce minor's schedules strictly because they get fined a lot of money if a minor gets out after they are scheduled to leave. But if you're over 18 they don't care, you could stay there all night as long as you get done what needs to be get done. They don't tell you about all the cleaning until you start training, so just be warned.

If you were asked to clean this room and this was the result after 20 minutes of you cleaning it (the room was still messy), how would that be a waste of time?

Really was easy. Basically the only question asked was why I wanted to work there. I basically just said because I’ve always enjoyed going to Publix growing up and seeing all the employees with a smile made me know it was a good place to work.
