It was fairly simple. I applied for the job through a third party job search web site. The hiring manager called me about 10 days later and did a phone interview. She was located out of state. Her manager interviewed me in person about a week later when he was in the area. We did have to go back and forth about the salary as I was making way more at my previous job than their highest paid person in that position.
