The entire process start with a call from "Human Resources." They make an appointment and tell you a little bit about the company and the position. The whole interviewing process spans into three different interviews. The first interview is with the CEO of the company, this is a small company after all, and is mostly disccusing the position and how you could fit in into the company. The second interview is with two manager and consist of a lunch and a field trip with a demonstration of the job. The last interview is training.

Thanks for your feedback. Sounds like you only got a small glimpse into part of what our team members do. Saying our company does not offer a rewarding career outlook could not be further from the truth. We have countless examples of people who have advanced quickly into larger roles here as our company has grown over the last few years. All we do is encourage and support our team members to advance their careers. If you got any other perception from our interview process, we apologize for not giving you the right idea of the heart and soul of our business. Also our pay structure is Base, Commission and Bonuses, NOT Commission only. - Josh Tolsma

When initially contacted I was told I was coming in for an interview, not a screening process. The initial phone contact was the screening process according to the caller on the phone. But once I walked into the "interview" room I was informed that "This is just a screening process and we're cherry picking a couple of candidates to come back for the actual interview" Apparently it's a 3 step process where the actual interview is 2 hours long. Side note: I've learned if any company is doing anything extra (2 hour lunch when you haven't even been hired) it's because they are trying to build relationship with you because they have nothing more to offer you and you have every right to walk away from them, initially. Ok. Once I arrived for my scheduled "interview" there were several other people there also waiting at the same time. After this experience it became obvious they use several tactics to get as many people to come in as possible so they can "Cherry pick" through them. My interviewer did not allow me to ask any questions at all. It was very obvious his mind was made up before I even left the room. I'm educated with over 8 years of experience as a director so I felt he knew I would not settle for standing at Wal-Mart haggling customers to sign up for Direct TV. Be crystal clear about what you are doing so people won't waste their time and gas for something they are not interested in to begin with. I was told there were management opportunities available. This may be true but not in this setting where you are mislead from the beginning.

Thanks so much for your thorough review. We hate to make anyone feel like they are just "one" interview. We have passed your message along to our hiring team. We wouldn't call our in-person interview just a "screening process," so we're sorry that phrasing was used. We do typically invite back a small percentage of the resumes we receive, so you are right about that, but that's standard practice for any company who is trying to hire the right fit. We do absolutely have management opportunities, but we like managers to get a chance to learn our business from the ground up, and start out in sales for a period of time. We've found that it works out better for everyone that way. Again, we apologize that you didn't have a great experience.
