My timeline: Jan 26 - Applied online Feb 13 - Received email to schedule phone interview Feb 18 - Phone interview Feb 19 - Background check started Feb 20 - Scheduled onsite interview Feb 21 - Background check completed Feb 27 - Onsite interview Mar 6 - Received “be patient” email; more interviews still in progress Mar 14 - Received job offer This was my third time applying to Progressive in three years and I finally got in! Persistence definitely pays off so if you want to work here, keep applying until you get an interview. I did use an employee referral to get my foot in the door but I'm not sure how much that helped. Unlike most positions, I did NOT have to take an assessment or quiz which I was so happy about. The test is only for certain positions. Make sure to practice the STAR format because those are the types of questions you'll be asked in your interview. I had my interview with two managers in my hiring department and they were so friendly! They really put me at ease, the interview felt like a conversation with old friends. I was told I'd here back in a week but there was a delay which had me feeling really anxious until I finally heard back. Make sure you show a lot of genuine enthusiasm for the position, research the company and show off your personality. Progressive puts a lot of weight on the personality of applicants because their company culture is so unique; they want to make sure they're hiring the right kind of people to fit into that family-oriented, supportive culture. They only hire 1% of applicants, that's how picky they are. The only negative I have with the interview process is that when the recruiter presented my offer, I asked if I could negotiate my hourly pay because I felt my experience warranted a higher salary. Unfortunately, she said she couldn't go any higher than what I was offered which was a bummer. But overall, I feel so blessed that I've been given this opportunity, Progressive is a great company and I plan on staying here for a long time!

Was a pre recorded interview. Asked questions such as my job history, how did I solve problems using resources and how did I exceed someones expectations. Most of the questions used the STAR format .
