      March 12 - Online Application March 13 - Pre-employment assessment March 15 - Email to schedule phone interview March 22 - Phone interview and request for background check April 6 - In-person interview May 18 - Accepted offer My hiring timeline was a bit longer than I've seen for others on this site, but I also wanted to finish my semester before I started training. I think they took that into consideration when placing me in a group for training and I'm grateful for that! I was also applying for multiple positions with similar responsibilities and they may have been deciding where I was the best fit. The application was pretty standard for any business and then I took the pre-employment assessment a few days later. I answered the questions honestly and there was no pressure. The phone interview was conducted by HireRight and the woman I spoke with was very kind and helpful. She asked me three STAR questions, took a lot of notes while I spoke, reviewed my background experience and gave me some helpful tips for the next step in the hiring process. The in-person interview was a pleasant experience. I was nervous about making a good impression and showing that I had relatable experience for the position, but overall I felt confident in my responses. He first gave me a tour of parts of the building and a brief overview of the position I was applying for as we walked to the interview room. The interview lasted about 90 minutes from the time I was greeted to the time I walked out the door. The worst part, as in any other application, was waiting for a response. My tip to anyone applying for a position within Progressive is to look up as many STAR questions as you possibly can, make notes on what experience you've had that can relate to that scenario, and take those notes with you to the interview. The more questions you can prepare for, the better. I had a list of several I thought might be asked, and only a few of them were asked. I think he went through about seven or eight questions, which was more than I was expecting. Make sure you're prepared! Overall, it was a great experience and I'm excited to start working for Progressive!

      I submitted my application and then got invited to complete a HireVue interview. It was about eight questions, all requiring STAR style responses. After I finished the interview, I received a rejection email. I honestly hate when companies play in people’s faces like this. What was the point of making me do an online interview if you already decided based on my resume? If you weren’t interested from the start, just say that. I have very little respect for companies that reject people through recorded online interviews, without ever allowing them to speak to a real person. It feels less like recruiting and more like a way to collect personal data our voices, our faces, without any real intention of moving forward.

      Straight forward typical call center interview. Initial interview was a phone screening where the recruiter asked for a background description of my resume. Two days later I interviewed with a supervisor and hiring manager. Entire process took about 2 weeks to receive job offer.

      Recruiter was rude, emailed me an hour before my interview and asked if I was available right now. I quickly responded and said that I could be ready in 20 mins sighting that our original interview was not for another hour. Upon the interview he made a comment about not being able to drop everything and start the interview an hour early. I had inquired about a religion question and holidays that differ from normal US holidays and he said yeah that wouldn't really align with our values. I should have sued. He sighted on my after interview report that I didn't have the experience he was looking for (which was a lie).
