J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Privax (Londres, Angleterre) en janv. 2015

      Entretien

Skype call (simple QA terminology questions) then face-to-face with QA Manager and Product Owner. Skype call (simple QA terminology questions) then face-to-face with QA Manager and Product Owner

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Skype call : What is black box testing, what is white box testing, what is BV analysis, what is the difference between a bug/issue/defect, what is exploratory testing, the lightbulb question (once again QA Manager was reading a script) - (https://pointlessprogramming.wordpress.com/2011/03/11/2-light-bulbs-and-a-100-story-building/) the answer to this is at the bottom, there was no opportunity or discussion on questions I might have - a rushed interview (20 mins max) Face-to-Face : The written test was a mix of pseudo-coding on entering a string and then how to display that string in reverse. Another was four questions on SQL statements, what SQL statements mean (left-join), (full-outer-join). What are primitive types? General programming language questions? The face-to-face with the Product Manager and QA Manager was an informal discussion about my CV and my previous jobs and what I had done and why I had left/finished previous roles. One question which was asked was that the website was not loading-up on my my PC what steps would I take thereafter (i.e. check other PCs, Ping, DNS, other devices, browser specific issues), then they added another scenario that this occurred late at night (I countered Privax is a worldwide offering so it should be escalated fast) - be sure to constantly clarify and ask the Product Owner NOT the QA Manager who seemed more intent on tripping me up and wasn't very clear with his questions. Finally you will be speak with the HR person who will ask basic questions on salary, availability and where you live. Also note the company will be moving HQ from Soho to Holborn in the coming months since AVG have taken over Privax which is a holding company for Hidemyass as the original founder sold-up and took his money. Smart lad!
