Started with a recruiter call, more stages (engineering manager, coding exercise, review etc) to follow. Generally very friendly, and the product seems genuinely interesting, everyone i've talked to was nice and knowledgeful, no complaints from my side.

Many rounds of interviews: Recruiter call, tech screen, tech interview, EM&PM interview, culture fit. All pretty standard. Everyone was nice and it all went well up to this point. The next part is where they messed up really bad. The recruiter called me to say I would receive an offer, and then they came up with a last minute "chat" (not an interview - literally how they worded it) with a director and another engineer. I was never told this interview would be behavioral so I could prepare my stories, and since I wasn't actively applying for jobs I could not pull them out of thin air during the call so naturally they weren't the best examples of my experiences. The rejected me afterwards commenting on my lack of experience and excitement.
