The inquiry began with a quick, screening phone call with one of the company's recruiters. She was very helpful to work with, answered all my questions, confirmed the salary range, and told me she'd follow up with setting up in-person interviews. From there, I went through a series of interviews, about nine conversations in total over the course of the next 2 months. Then, the company decided to restructure the department, and the position I had interviewed for was no longer available. They asked me to submit my resume again for a new position within the same department. That led to another call with a different internal recruiter. This call was a very different, highly unpleasant experience. After giving him the requested information, he ended the call, and I never heard from the company again. It felt like a blessing in disguise
