      Entretien pour SEO Content Writer

      Candidat à l'entretien anonyme
      Austin, TX
      Aucune offre
      Expérience négative

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez PixelCutLabs (Austin, TX) en mars 2019

      Entretien

Voice call with “CEO”. It was kind of weird because they used a video call platform to do a voice call. The interviewer was extremely condescending and a little aggressive in responding to my answers. As I at least thought this was a professional position I was very prepared to talk about how my experience qualified me for this position and did extensive research on the company and aspects of the job description. I had to work in my experience and the interviewer acted rude and unimpressed. He seemed to forget that he is being interviewed as much as I was. I was really surprised that he showed literally no interest in my background and asked generic interview questions.

Hi, I'm very sorry to hear you had a negative experience with our interview process. As a young company, we are still feeling our way through the hiring process, and have used several different methods to identify and hire the small group we are made up of today. While I do not know who is providing this review (as it came through as anonymous), based on the questions you've shared from the interview, I'll provide a bit more insight into the process. We follow the interview process from the book "Who" by Geoff Smart and Randy Street very closely, and it has four stages of interviews. The interview you and I shared is called the "Screening Interview" and it gives us a chance to get to know the basics. They are set to a time limit of 15 minutes, and those who move into the next stage of the process have a longer, 90-minute session called the "Top-Grading" interview. Your message has helped me realize that it is important to show compassion and dive deeper into this initial interview and to be sure to follow up after with updates. Please accept my apologies for the experience you had. This was not at all my intention, and I do hope you have found a position that you are excelling at. Thank you so much for your feedback, and please know that we are making changes as a result. If you would like to share more feedback with me, I welcome you to reach out via email. Sincerely, Brennen Bliss Founder & Lead SEO
