Th e interview process took exactly 30 days. It included: 1. 30-minute phone screening with recruiter 2. 15-minute personality assessment 3. 15-minute cognitive assessment (CCAT) 4. 1-hour video call with the hiring manager 5. Writing test 1. The recruiter was prompt, friendly, and forthcoming. 2. The personality assessment felt like a waste of time. It's hard to imagine anyone answering these questions honestly before receiving a job offer. 3. You can take practice CCAT's online, and I suggest that you do. Doing so helped me with the test. 4. The hiring manager was easy to talk to, patient with all of my questions, and transparent about challenges in the role. 5. I've taken a writing test every time that I've applied for a role. I've taken a lot of them over the years, and this one was by far the longest and most difficult. The assignment asks you to: 1. Rewrite two terribly written instructional paragraphs. Explain the changes that you made and why you made them. 2. Describe the difference between authentication and authorization, and describe how Ping’s products support those security components. 3. Describe a scenario where you had to solve a technical problem. 4. Write instructions for your solution to the technical problem. 5. Identify errors and correct them in a snippet of DITA. It took me eight hours to complete the entire test, but the test says that should only take two hours. Despite my best efforts, it wasn’t good enough to warrant the final panel interview.

Inadequate process: Short convo w/recruiter, received a "2 hour writing test" (underestimate of effort), poor communication from recruiter, zero feedback.
No interview or request for samples of work.
