J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Petco (Moorpark, CA) en mai 2013
Entretien
Contacted by manager several days after submitting online application. Went in for interview the following day. The manager and I had common experiences working in retail, and we also had a strong passion for animals. I said I was working towards a two year degree, and was finishing this fall. She was impressed and called in the assistant store manager. They had me play a game with customer service oriented questions. I memorized two types of pet products for five seconds and pretended like the manager was one of my customers. After passing, she thanked me for coming in for an interview. The following Sunday I got a call with a job offer. On my first day I went in, completed the training modules and got set up on the sales floor and cash register. I had prior experience working for a grocery store, and found a lot of the tasks I was completing was similar to working in a grocery related environment. I have three years' worth of volunteering experience at an animal organization, which I think helped me get my foot in the door as well. I am looking forward to working my way up!
Questions d'entretien [2]
Question 1
Describe a time when you were struggling with multitasking and how you completed all of the tasks.
Straight forward and not difficult. It's just a standard retail interview, no curveballs, no trick questions. Just practice a little beforehand and it'll go smoothly. Make sure to ask questions of your own at the end.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Do you have experience handling customers during a rush?
It was a basic sales job interview. Basically they want to know you are a hard worker and kind to animals. I don't think they really care as long as you are willing to work hard.
The interview process is very easy. They are not too picky, they just want to make sure that you will work and can comprehend the simple parts of the job. And that you are okay with small animals.
