Informal. Sent letter to hiring manager about unposted job and was met for interview. Questions were mostly behavioral in nature. "Describe a situation where you faced a customer that was dissatisfied with your company's service... How did you handle it"? Discussed salary requirements with HR representative. Several rounds of negotiations and finally an agreement was reached.

Multiple interviews talking with several members of the team. The interviews were very comfortable and were just casual, but in-depth about my experience and background. The interviewers were very transparent about the job, including the traveling aspect.

Interview was performed by a three man team made up of the regional director, regional manager, local team leader. They each fielded questions pertaining to the job position and some personal traits that would have a direct effect on job performance...nothing illegal to the interview process. It was very friendly and somewhat informal in nature. The team I interviewed with, I later learned, was probably one of the better teams to work with in PerkinElmer located in the Midwest.
