I got an interview for a position at the Cambridge site of realvnc . It was a phone interview with the project manager. The interviewer was very nervous and serious, which was not helpful at all. The job description had nothing about C++ knowledge, but required a lot of other things. However,the whole interview was C++ specific. He asked me a long list of questions about C++ OOP, some networking (TCP, UDP), and some multithreading (semaphores, mutexes, deadlock). He had some bizarre questions that you can find on stackoverflow.com, such as: Imagine a user sitting at an Ethernet-connected PC. He has a browser open. He types "www.google.com" in the address bar and hits enter. Now tell me what the first packet to appear on the Ethernet is.
