You are supposed to present a research proposal that you have to present and defend before a research committee. It is very research-focused, although fundamental knowledge is supposed to be evaluated also. The round of questions lasts about 30 - 45 min with each of the 3 reviewers/interviewers, after which they deliberate and reach a decision about your acceptance in the doctoral program.
