I was recommended for a position at PRH by an employee at PRH and was told to apply via their portal. HR reached out after I turned in my application on the portal, in which I mentioned I would require a work visa sponsorship. For the initial interview with HR, I was sent a Calendly request, on which I mentioned I was currently out of the country and could be reached at a foreign number. Just to make sure the HR person saw it, I sent out a follow-up email asking them if it was okay for them to call on a foreign number, and if not, we could set up a Zoom call. HR never replied.
I prepped for 2 days for this interview because I was really looking forward to the interview. 10 minutes after it was supposed to start -- I waited anxiously for a phone call or an email, fully prepped for any question -- I receive an email from the HR person saying I could not be reached on the number on my resume (my US number) and that, just so I knew, PRH did not sponsor visas for candidates (something I had mentioned in my original application on their portal).
I was very upset with how HR handled my case despite knowing all my restrictions. I was given false hope and no response when I approached them with my concerns. Terrible experience, very unprofessional.
