      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez Pearson en oct. 2015

      Entretien

First phone interview, then a few days later was a physical interview with the Director. During the interview, the original person I was to meet with was 45 minutes late, so I began with someone who did not review my profile. When the person finally showed up, we wrapped up the interview. All in all I was there for almost 3 hours, and felt it went very, very well. I got the impression from the Director that I was the perfect candidate for the position; even him asking when I could start and sharing salary information. He requested my references as well, and I was told to notify them that he would be calling to which I did. A few days later, to my disappointment, I received a denial letter that they had selected another candidate for the position-- which was very disappointing because he had implied I got the position, but only had to get through 8 other interviews to finish the process. Yes, the recruiter was in contact, but when I asked for feedback from my interview, none was given so I have no idea what went wrong. I do know my references were never contacted, so if he was that much on the fence about my capabilities, he could have called them to substantiate. My advice would be to be more up front with candidates and provide feedback, not provide false hopes and impressions that the position is a perfect match with candidates qualifications. Felt very misled. I have more than 10 years professional experience in the industry, so I just wonder who was more qualified that landed the job-- unless they lied throughout their interview.
