J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Pearson en oct. 2020
Entretien
Pre-interview, there was a required a fairly long copyediting test, which is fine, and part of the deal. And then a slightly disjointed interview via video. All this was OK – especially since I suddenly got a call and then formal offer from HR in a couple days. But it was a lot less (at least 50% less) than I expected. I wish I'd been able to have another conversation with the hiring managers before the offer, since it would have probably been more clear this was only an entry-level position, and that my experience wasn’t going to affect the offer appreciably. Also: it was for a two-year job, which seems like a weird way to hire. It feels indecisive.
There were two rounds of one to one interview. Both interviewers were very nice. No pressure at all. They have already decided to hire you if you get the second round of interview.
2 hr take home exercise followed by interview. Pearson needs to pay people for taking that exercise because they force you to take it at a set time during the work week, which is incredibly difficult if you still have a job you have to be at.
The interview process was smooth, professional, friendly. The Human Resource folks will take some time getting back to you with your offer letter and so on, which is a bit annoying if you're looking at other offers. Otherwise it went very well.
