Applied online. Received email 18 days later asking me to take a HireVue (one-way webcam-based) interview. Interview was four quick questions long, and seemed designed to just give them a peek at my gender/race/age/speech patterns without any big commitment. Questions were mostly generic (Tell us about yourself/What do you know about Pearson/etc). Sent a thank you email shortly thereafter AND a follow-up email a week later, but never heard another word from Pearson, not even a "thanks but" email. Job just disappeared off the website.

I was called by the hiring Manager. He called to say he wanted me to continue to apply for positions, even though the one I applied for was not a good fit. He said he liked my resume and wanted me to keep in touch.
