Entretien pour Major Markets Account Manager

      28 juill. 2015
      Candidat à l'entretien anonyme
      Cleveland, OH
      Aucune offre
      Expérience positive
      Entretien moyen

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Paycor (Cleveland, OH) en juill. 2015

      Entretien

Started with the internal recruiter, then moved on to the Regional manager that you would be reporting to. After these two conversations, it is to be followed by a personality profile, then a face to face with the hiring manager. Then a panel interview, then a virtual interview with the home office. This is one of the longest process that I have encountered. Very competitive space and looking for a hunter. The personality profile took an hour and asked intense math, and vocab questions. Very intense and not sure what kind of data they get out of this. I guess it is like the NFL Counting combine..

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez Paycor (Carmel, IN) en déc. 2015

      Entretien

Company recruiter called and did a phone interview. If selected you have two more interviews before an offer will be made. Most of her questions were about past work history and your sales success. If you pass the phone interview you will have an opportunity for a face to face interview with the Regional Sales Director. He will determine if he will move forward to recommend any further interviews.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Regional Sales Director was not interested in my ability from the minute we sat down. He spent 45 minutes typing my answers to his questions about why I left each company I had been with in the past 20 years. Then the " Tell me about a time" questions started and most importantly he said he did not understand why I didn't attend college. His comment was you just did not want to go? Honestly I started to stand up and end the interview as I felt he was wasting my time, but I didn't want to disrespect the company recruiter. Too bad, I was a perfect fit and was ready to give 200% to succeeding in the position. I was told I was not selected to move forward because I didn't have payroll services sales experience, but the Regional Sales Director came from Enterprise Rental Car and had none as well.

I was contacted by the corporate recruiter through LinkedIn. He sent a short video about the company and why it was a good time to join the sales team. I had never considered a payroll company in my search but I like what I heard in the video. Also the recruiter was SUPER passionate about the company and he got me excited to explore the opportunity further. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have. I had back to back phone interviews with each Regional Sales Manager (2 total in Atlanta alone) and then I had back to back in person interviews the following week. After that I met with the District Manager and he vetoed me (big mistake!). They have a policy that if anyone along the way veto's a candidate then that's it. See ya, thanks for coming out. If I continued on I would have had to do a role play in the office and then a phone or skype interview with the Corporate office as the last step. Although I didn't get the job, the process was fair and professional. No complaints whatsoever (again, b/c the recruiter was fantastic).

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

I didn't have industry experience but I have 13 years of outside sales experience so a lot of time was spent discussing who I prospected, how I conducted meetings, and how I managed my assigned territory. No really unexpected or difficult question but they really want to make sure you are cut out for the job. There's a lot of canvassing and prospecting and it's a very competitive space. They are up front and good about managing your expectations.
